Rico Petrocelli is a dedicated longtime resident of Plantation, Florida, where he has lived with his wife Camille for over 50 years. Together, they have 6 children, 18 grandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren. Rico was elected to the City Council in 2005, and continues to serve the public via the board of Broward Health and other various volunteer boards.
Rico brings proven experience in local governance, always advocating as "The People's Councilman" for resident-focused leadership. He is deeply committed to enhancing quality of life in Plantation through strong public safety, family-friendly programs, and smart growth that preserves the city's unique character.
Known affectionately as "Coach" for his involvement in youth and community athletics, Rico spends much of his time supporting P.A.L. (Plantation Athletic League) where he was the basketball commissioner for 10+ years and continues to referee/umpire local charity fundraisers.
Rico is running to return to the Plantation City Council to continue his fight for accountable government. He will continue to watch out for taxpayers as he voted against tax increases 3 separate times.
